Have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chosen this unusual name for their baby?

With Meghan Markle alleged to have already gone into labour, a new possibly baby name is now doing the rounds.

Prince Harry and his former actress wife have yet to reveal the sex of their first child, but many believe the loved-up couple are expecting a girl.

Now rumours are swirling that the couple have chosen an Italian name, loved by Harry’s late mother Princess Diana.

Over the last few months baby names in the lead were Diana, Elizabeth and Grace.

But now the name Allegra has seen odds slashes from 100/1 to 20/1.

Allegra is a female Italian name which means “joyful and lively”. And reportedly Princess Diana always said if she had a baby girl she would name her Allegra.

“It’s probably the most bizarre eleventh hour move we could’ve seen, but the money is coming in thick and fast for Allegra,” a Ladbrokes spokesperson told the Daily Mirror.

“We wouldn’t be surprised to see the name right up there with the frontrunners by the time the birth gets announced.”

If the Royal couple welcome a boy, Arthur, Philip and James are in the lead.
