Louis Walsh enters the Celebrity Big Brother house with Sharon Osbourne

It’s official: Louis Walsh has entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Following weeks of speculation, the former X Factor judge was confirmed as a housemate during tonight’s launch episode.

Louis entered the house after his longtime friend and former X Factor colleague Sharon Osbourne, who has joined the series as a “special guest” housemate – meaning she may only appear on the show for a short stint.

Upon their arrival, Big Brother tasked them with “judging” their fellow housemates, and deciding who should face eviction first.

It’s understood Sharon brokered a different contract to the rest of this year’s celebrity housemates, and might only appear on the show for a week.

According to reports, she’s being paid £500k for her short stint.

As for Louis, insiders have claimed he landed himself a six-figure deal to appear on the show.

A “close associate” told The Sun: “He is one of the most intriguing signings for Celebrity Big Brother because he has almost half a century of experience in showbusiness to recall when he enters the house.”

“Viewers will be most interested in his memories of his time on The X Factor and working with huge music acts including Westlife and Boyzone.”

“But there may be a few celebrities outside the house who are feeling nervous about what he might say, because Louis is notoriously outspoken.”

Louis has managed major bands like Westlife, Boyzone and Girls Aloud throughout his career, and famously appeared as a judge on The X Factor from 2004 – 2014, before he returned from 2016 to 2017.
