TV star Blathnaid Treacy hoping for chance to present 'fun music show' on 2FM

Kids TV presenter Blathnaid Treacy has revealed she’s hoping to bag a slot on 2FM.

The TwoTube presenter has been presenting the Zoo Crew on Spin 103.8 for the summer with Dara Quilty.

Now the 26-year-old is hoping that will lead to 2FM boss Dan Healy bringing her on as part of their push for fresh talent

“There’s no talk of that at the moment but maybe in the future that would be brilliant. I’d love to do a fun music show,” she said.

“RTE is definitely taking more chances which is nice because a lot of people wouldn’t think that about RTE. But they’re bringing in lots of fresh talent.”

And Blathnaid told the Herald she has been incredibly lucky with how great they have been at Spin – with a highlight not having to worry about how she looks.

“The whole crowd are really sound, every- one was very welcoming and the lads have the exact same sense of humour as me. I’ve loads of brothers so we’re constantly having the craic,” she added.

“Radio is a little bit more relaxed than TV. You don’t have to worry about hair and make-up, there’s no costume changes and you can go in wearing whatever you want. With TV, all that stuff is out of your hands.”
