Popular music DJ Annie Mc has landed her own show on BBC radio 1.

The Dublin native, real name Annie McManus, is set to replace Zane Lowe on his evening music show.

Airing Monday to Thursday from 7-9pm, Annie will be fronting the popular show after Zane steps down from his role next month.

The Dundrum star revealed she is over the moon about landing her own show.

Gone: Zane is leaving after 12 years

“The thing I love about music radio is those private epiphanies it provides,” she said.

“Having 11 hours of airtime a week to share those moments with music that has no boundaries is beyond a job, it’s a privilege.

“And to be following in the footsteps of Zane Lowe, a broadcaster that I respect and admire enormously, is a huge honour. I can’t wait to get started,” she added.
