Celebrations boxes without Bounty bars are being trialled this Christmas.
A recent survey found that 39% of consumers want the coconut-flavoured chocolate treats axed from the tubs for good.
The limited edition ‘No Bounty’ tubs will launch on November 8, and will include additional Mars, Snickers, Milky Way, Galaxy and Maltesers sweets to make up for the missing Bounty bars.
The decision has sent Twitter users into a frenzy, with many demanding
One wrote: “Good morning to everyone except the person who decided to remove Bounty’s from a tub of Celebrations.”
Another wrote: “i am crying why are they removing the bounty from the celebrations it’s the best one!!!”
A third tweeted: “mark my words, the history books will not be kind to the vile anti-coconut lobby who got the Bounty removed from Celebrations. this is a dark day.”
