The Script star Danny O’Donoghue has revealed the band’s new album was inspired by Mrs Brown’s Boys.
The Dubliner have taken on a lot of the traditional Irish sounds for their new record, which is due out later this year.
And Danny revealed it started after Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll asked them to work on a song for the movie’s soundtrack.

But instead of stopping with just the Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie track – they kept the sound with them in the recording studio.
“Brendan is a good friend of Glen’s, and he called me and Mark in for a meeting as we were the only ones in London,” he told the Star.
“He told us about the premise of the movie, about a florist in Moore Street. Mark’s mum and granny were street traders, so straight away he had Mark reeled in.

“We ended up thinking what is it about Ireland? That gave us the idea of Hail, Rain and Sunshine – that’s their motto.
“It was the first time we embraced the Irish sound. We went full-frontal fiddles and uilleanns in it. That started to bleed into our other music – there’s so much Irish influence in the melodies.”
