Some of the world’s biggest singers are recording the new version of Do They Know It’s Christms today.

Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Olly Murs are among the stars joining forces to help the fight against Ebola.

Irish singers Sinead O’Connor, Bono and Niall Horan from One Direction are all in London today to record the infamous song that was previously performed by the likes of George Michael and Sting.

With the song originally recorded to help famine relief, the new lyrics are about Ebola, and include such lines as: “Where a kiss of love can kill you – And there’s death at every tear.”

At a press conference recently Bob said the disease was taking hold in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia “because they’re extremely poor which is radically unacceptable”, adding: “It makes me sick and makes me angry.”
