Noel Gallagher on performing with U2: 'It was a dream come true'

Noel Gallagher has opened up about performing with U2 at their London gig earlier this week – describing it as a “dream come true”.

The musician joined the Dublin four-piece on stage for their hit I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For and a cover of The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love at their O2 Arena show.

Opening up about the experience, the former Oasis guitarist admitted “it was a great moment”.

“It was a dream come true to be asked to get up [on stage] with them and then it was a dream come true to be asked to sing that song [I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For],” he said.

“They’re friends of mine. I’ve been friends with Bono for about 20 years. It was a great moment.

“I was stood in the wings and they were introducing me and I was thinking ‘This is actually going to happen now, this is amazing’,” he told Audioboom.

“They are one of my favourite ever, ever bands and that’s one of the best songs ever written. It was a blast, a real honour.”
