People are absolutely outraged at U2 and Ticketmaster after the Croke Park gig sold out in under six minutes.
Fans had a lot of trouble getting onto Ticketmaster to buy the tickets for the July 22nd gig this morning.
The Croke Park gig was sold out in under six minutes, and Ticketmaster would then redirect customers to other sites such as Seatwave.
On these sites, tickets are being sold for a much higher rate than face value.
Not Happy: Fans are not happy about the extortionate prices of tickets | VIPIRELAND.COM
The prices for the gig in the Lower Davin Stand and the pitch area had a face value of €76 with an extra €3.30 charge for agent fees.
Tickets for the Cusack and Hogan stands range from €110 to €186.
Now ticket touts are cashing it in with tickets selling on Seatwave at four times the prices in some cases.
This extortionate ticket selling is also happening in the UK, following their sold-out Twickenham gig in London and fans are NOT too happy.

"Sorry, no tickets from the venue currently" but please come to our other company where we have tickets 3x face value #convinient #u2

No U2 tickets on official site, but plenty for €1,000 via tout sites. Wonder what public appetite for Brazil-style anti-tout law would be.

I feel sorry for all those people that bought #U2 tickets at 9am only to find out they couldn’t go at 9.01 and had to sell them on eBay etc
