Everything you need to know about Forbidden Fruit Day 2

This year marks the 12th edition of Forbidden Fruit Festival!

The first day of this iconic festival took place on the 1st June of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Day 2 is set to take place on Sunday in the heart of the city centre, set against the backdrop of Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Sunday’s lineup is scorching hot, featuring the long-awaited return of Nelly Furtado, gracing Irish shores after 23 years, alongside Barry Can’t Swim and Overmono.

From nostalgic throwbacks to cutting-edge beats, this weekend will be overflowing with the freshest sounds.

Don’t let the name fool you; DJ BORING’s sets are anything but mundane. With vibrant energy and undeniable passion, Tristan Hallis delivers every time.

Important Info

  • Forbidden Fruit Festival is an over 18’s event.

  • Driving Licence / Passport / Garda Card are all acceptable forms of identification

  • Anyone who appears U18yrs may be asked for ID to enter the festival

  • We operate the “Challenge 25” policy at our bars on site. This means that anyone who looks 25 years or under can expect to be asked for ID. Please drink responsibly

Weekend Tickets:

Entry to the event for a weekend ticket holder is only possible with a valid weekend ticket.

Your ticket will be scanned once upon arrival each day of the festival.

Re-entry is not permitted on the same day.

Tickets should be kept during the entire festival to enter the festival premises freely.

Tickets are transferable via your Ticketmaster account, if you would like to pass on your ticket to someone else. We do not offer resale options for this event tickets are non-refundable, name on the ticket must match ID.

Proof of age may be required for all ticket types. Please ensure that you have ID with you in case you are asked.

Single Day Tickets:

Entry to the event is only possible with a valid admission ticket for daily ticket holders.

There is no re-admission on day tickets.

Getting There:

Forbidden Fruit takes place on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin 8, 15 minutes from Dublin city centre.

Gates Opening:

Saturday – 14:00pm

Sunday – 14:00pm

Last Entry to the festival 21:30pm

Last act finishes at 22:45pm

BY FOOT

Pedestrian access is via East Gate, Military Road, Dublin 8

BY CAR

There is no parking at the venue. Traffic Restrictions will be in place on Military Road and Kilmainham Lane.

BY BUS

The Venue is well serviced by Dublin Bus. Please check your routing at www.dublinbus.ie

BY TRAIN

Hueston station is 5 minutes’ Walk to the venue.

BY LUAS

Take the Red Line from The Point towards Saggart, exit to Heuston Station and it is a 5-minute walk to East Gate entrance via Military Road.

Water Bottle Policy

Standard 750ml plastic re-usable water bottles are permitted. They must be empty on arrival. No metal bottles are permitted.

Lost Property

For lost property please contact [email protected].

Lost & found will be located at the information point on site. If you have lost something during the event head to the info tent.

After the event Lost property will be open on Monday the 3rd between 10 – 3pm and Tuesday the 4th Between 10 – 3pm.

After the Show, please email [email protected] for all lost property queries.

After this period, all unclaimed forms of ID will be posted back to the relevant departments.

• Bank cards will be posted back to the banks.

• Passports will be sent back to the passport office.

• Driver’s license will be posted back to the NDLS.

Please allow up to 1-2 weeks for these departments to receive these items before getting in touch.

Umbrellas will not be returned.

All unclaimed Items such as phones, keys, jewelry, wallets, etc. will be given to local garda station.

The Promoter does not take responsibility for any stolen or lost items.

DO’S:

Dress appropriately for the weather. The festival takes place outdoors on the grounds (grass lawns) of Royal Hospital Kilmainham. No umbrellas (wear your best rain coat!)

Bar and catering facilities are available; we operate the “Challenge 25” policy at our bars on site. This means that anyone who looks 25 years or under can expect to be asked for ID. Please drink responsibly.

Please be respectful of the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham and the locality of Kilmainham which is a residential area.

Consider our good neighbour policy and leave the venue quietly

Remember your card and charge your phone as this is a cashless event.

DON’TS:

WARNING! Urinating inside and outside the event premises is a Public Order Offence. Person’s seen urinating in public will be permanently removed from festival grounds without warning and will be prosecuted. Please use the toilets provided.

Smoking is permitted in dedicated areas only.

Do not make noise leaving the venue.
