Saoirse Ronan’s new film Broolyn will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next year.
The Carlow actress plays an Irish immigrant in the romantic drama co-starring Domhnall Gleeson and Emory Cohen.
Based on the book of the same name, Irish author Colm Toibin described Saoirse’s performance in the flick as ‘extraordinary’.

“It’s very, very emotional. It’s the first time I suppose she’s doing a part as a lead actress as an adult on her own and she’s absolutely extraordinary.” he said.
The author also revealed Saoirse had major on-screen chemistry with co-star Emory Cohen.
“The American actor Emory Cohen plays it as pure charm. He’ll do anything to win her,” Colm added.

Saoirse will not be the only Irish star making waves at Sundance, with Goss.ie previously revealing director Gerard Barrett’s Glassland will also be premièring at the festival. Â
The 2015 festival has a star studded line up with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, James Franco and Ryan Reynolds all having films debuting.
