Movie star Saoirse Ronan feels “prouder” to be Irish – after seeing Peter Coonan’s new play.

The Hollywood actress went to see the Love/Hate star in Borstal Boy, and admits it really touched her.

She said: “Try and go see Borstal Boy if you get a chance. Gaiety Theatre. A great production of a wonderful play.

Already, the Gaiety production has got great reviews across the board – with Peter showing off a new side to himself.

It sees the TV star – who plays Fran – stripping off fully nude on stage.

But Peter said he finds it “difficult” leaving newborn baby to go to work.
