Meet the Irish actress who is currently breaking Hollywood – in a new movie with Brian Gleeson.
Emma Eliza Regan is currently making her mark in Darkness On The Edge Of Town, which premiered at the prestigious Slamdance Film Festival.
It tells the story of a troubled teenage sharpshooter who seeks to avenge the death of her estranged sister after she is found murdered in a public bathroom.

She said: “He’s really professional, always very prepared, fun and easy-going to work with.
Now the Connemara native will be seen around the world, after the film has been acquired by an international distributor after its sold-out Slamdance screening.
And Emma admits she is lucky to have starred opposite Gleeson family member Brian, who is “the nicest actor I know”.
“He’s incredibly talented and nice. He’s probably the nicest actor I know, to be honest.”
But Emma says her success in the US will just help towards her ultimate dream to shoot a movie in the Aran Islands.

She has written a film script set in the west that she soon hopes to shop around.
She said: “It’s a coming-of-age about a girl who runs away from London to the west of Ireland to meet her grandparents, so that keeps me going.
“I’ve got a draft finished and that would be a dream for me to shoot in the Aran Islands. I think it’s stunning. Galway and the Aran Islands have always been really magical and special to me.”

Meanwhile, another famous actor the up and coming star is full of praise for is Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie.
“She’s someone I really admire. She was amazing even when she was younger in all her roles,” she told U Magazine.
“She’s so brave and courageous, she’s always doing something that she’s wildly passionate about. She kept pushing the boat all the time.”
