Idris Elba sparks James Bond rumours

Idris Elba has sparked new rumours that he will play the next James Bond.

The actor has been rumoured to play the part since 2014, but he has yet to confirm or deny the suspicions.

The 45-year-old has taken to Twitter to hint to fans that he will play the next James Bond by tweeting, “my name’s Elba, Idris Elba.”

Many fans thought that he quickly shut down the rumours soon afterwards as he also tweeted, “Don’t believe the HYPE…”

The actor seems to be playing with his fan’s minds, as he may be just referring to the 80s rap hit, Don’t Believe The Hype.

Idris tweeted a picture of the famous rap group, Public Enemy, in-between his cryptic messages, so it is unknown whether he is just referring to their track or not.

It was recently reported by the Daily Express that James Bond producer, Barbara Broccoli, said that “it is time” for the famous character to be played by a black actor.

Speculation has gone into overdrive since the news and fans are eager for the actor to reveal all.
