The Fall’s Gerard McCarthy has vowed not to see co star Jamie Dornan in 50 Shades – as he never wants to see his pal naked.
The TV star told Goss.ie that he hasn’t read the infamous S&M book – and is still unsure whether he is going to watch it in cinemas.
“I haven’t read the book, so the idea of going to watch somebody that you know running around with no clothes and getting up to all sorts in the cinema screen would make me uncomfortable,” he said.

“I know Jamie he’s a lovely guy and great craic and he was brilliant in The Fall and yeah everybody is delighted for the success he’s had after The Fall.”
Gerard is currently in Ireland – performing his one-man show of Dracula – where he plays an astonishing 17 characters.
He said: “The thing about doing a one man show and playing 17 characters is that you just have to do the amount of work that 17 actors would do.

“For example there are characters that have just two or three paragraphs but you still need to do the same amount of work on the physicality of the character, the way he speaks, what makes him different from the rest.
“So it’s not so much for difficult it’s just more work. We opened it in theatres in Belfast about three weeks ago and we’ve already started the tour and it’s going really well.”
“The whole thing was my idea and I approached the director and pitched the idea to him and then we spent almost two years drafting the script – we drew 19 drafts before we went into rehearsals.”
