Domhnall Gleeson NOT playing Luke Skywalker's son in Star Wars reboot

More spoilers have been released online for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and it looks like Domhnall Gleeson’s role isn’t what was previously reported.

Now it seems the Dublin actor will not be playing Luke Skywalker’s son but rather another villain in the movie called The General.

The villainous character is described as “an an Imperial Officer-type character” who reports to the Uber played by Andy Serkis according to Making Star Wars.

However contrary to these reports, Domhnall could also be playing the role of a double agent who’s on a secret mission to rid the galaxy of superweapons.

The Malahide native is reportedly also on the hunt for Finn, played John Boyega after the latter has disappeared from the Empire according to Screen Rant.

The Unbroken star’s character is still unknown character in the movie but is believed to be a villain since he will be doing bad things but for the greater good of everyone.

The Ex-Machina actor has remained tight lipped on his new role in the iconic franchise director by JJ Abrams.

Starring in the blockbuster with Harrison Forde and Oscar winner Lupita N’yongo, the film will be in theatres this December.
