Simon Cowell seriously riled Mel B on Tuesday night’s America’s Got Talent.
During the semi-final, Simon cracked a harsh joke about his fellow judge, who is currently involved in a nasty divorce battle with her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte.
Contestant Demian Aditya’s stunt went wrong due to a technical error, and when the judges were giving their feedback – Simon caused Mel to chuck an entire glass of water over him, before storming off stage.
“Well, I’m kind of imagining this would be like Mel B’s wedding night – a lot of anticipation, not much promise or delivery,” Simon quipped.
After Mel threw water all over Simon, she stormed off stage with fellow judge Heidi Klum.
Fans speculated that the shocking moment was staged, however, AGT’s official Twitter account tweeted, “This is live TV, you guys. Anything can happen. That was not planned, you guys.”
Thankfully, Mel and Heidi returned just a few minutes later.
