WATCH: Donald Trump insists Prince Harry DIDN’T give him the cold shoulder during UK visit

Donald Trump has insisted that Prince Harry didn’t give him the cold shoulder during his visit to the UK this week.

Last week, The Sun reported that the US President called Harry’s wife Meghan Markle “nasty”, after he was told about some comments she made about him during his 2016 presidential campaign.

However, during an interview with Good Morning Britain today, Donald explained what he meant when he called the Duchess of Sussex “nasty”.

Speaking to Piers Morgan, Trump said: “They said some of the things that she said and It’s actually on tape. And I said: ‘Well, I didn’t know she was nasty’. I wasn’t referring to she’s nasty.”

“I said she was nasty about me. And essentially I didn’t know she was nasty about me. But I said you know what? She’s doing a good job, I hope she enjoys her life…”

When asked what he thinks about Meghan, Donald said, “I think she’s very nice. I have to be honest, I don’t really know her.”

When asked if he spoke to Prince Harry about it, he said: “We didn’t talk about it…I was going to because it was so falsely put out there. And when you see that transcript and you see, it’s the exact opposite of what they said. Did you look at the transcript?”

Earlier this week, it was reported that Prince Harry kept his distance from Trump as they toured the Buckingham Palace Picture Gallery – but Donald has claimed otherwise.

Donald said: “…No, no, no, just the opposite. In fact, he spent a lot of time talking to Ivanka and talking to my family. I went up – he couldn’t have been nicer. Couldn’t have been nicer… I think he’s great.”
