Britney Spears returned to her Las Vegas residency on Wednesday night after taking the summer off, but was greeted by a stage invader during her performance of (You Drive Me) Crazy.
While on stage at the AXIS auditorium inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, a crazed fan rushed on stage trying to get Britney’s attention.
Dancers blockaded the man as security guards surrounded Britney. “Is something OK?” she asked. “What’s going on?” Then, Britney clutched one of her security guards and asked, “He’s got a gun?”
The 35-year-old was swiftly escorted off stage, and as the stage invader attempted to break free, her dancers pushed him to the ground until more security guards arrived on stage to restrain him.

A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to E! News that 37-year-old Jesse Webb was arrested Aug. 9 for trespassing during Britney Spears’ Piece of Me concert in Las Vegas.
“Webb was asked to leave the concert by security prior to him jumping on stage and dancing,” officer Larry Hadfield said. “Webb was transported to the Clark County Detention Center. There is no further information regarding this arrest.”
Britney will return to the stage this Friday and Saturday.
