Maci Bookout has been granted a two-year restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Ryan Edwards.
Back in March, The Teen Mom star and her husband Taylor McKinney filed two orders of protection against Ryan, who is the father of Maci’s son Bentley.
Maci, who also shares two children Maverick and Jayde with her husband Taylor, has claimed that Ryan left voicemail messages threatening to show up at her house and take Bentley.
She also alleged that Ryan “has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don’t answer my phone”.
In court documents obtained by E! News, the MTV star also claimed that Ryan showed up to her son’s baseball game “under the influence of [heroin]” and got in her face, yelling at her and threatening to hurt her.
Maci wrote, “I fear for my son’s safety because of these threats and proof that he drives while under the influence. His behavior and actions are getting worse, I am fearful for my three children and myself, and what he may do, based on his threats.”
All parties were present in court on Monday, May 21, and a Hamilton County Circuit Court Public Information Officer told E! News, “The judge dismissed the ex parte order of protection and then entered a mutual restraining order.”
Meanwhile, Ryan’s attorney Jonathan Turner said, “We did agree to a restraining order where Ryan will not go within 100 feet of Maci and her current husband and their two children.
“Ryan has no exclusions with Bentley and is still able to see his son under the new restraining order. This gives Ryan a lot more protection against any false allegations, allows him to avoid getting arrested without a hearing first, and allows him to be around his son most importantly.”
“Ryan agreed to this outcome to make it easier on everyone and not go through a formal process of a trial. Moving forward Ryan hopes everyone can get through this without any issues and that he can see his son,” he added.
Ryan was arrested and charged with “petition to revoke (simple possession of heroin)” back in March.
He was previously caught driving to his 2017 wedding while under the influence of drugs, and he subsequently checked into a rehab facility.
