Selling Sunset’s Maya Vander admits she was ‘shocked and disappointed’ to hear about season 3 story line

Selling Sunset star Maya Vander has admitted she was “shocked and disappointed” at the news of co-star Chrishell Stause’s divorce, which will be one of the main story lines of season 3.

The real estate agent opened up about the drama due to take place in the next series of the Netflix show, including Chrishell’s shock divorce from Justin Hartley.

“I guess I always thought they were a perfect couple who had found their fairytale ending, so I was sad for her,” Maya told Celeb Magazine.

“[Chrishell] was very professional and tried to hold herself together. I have empathy since it is hard to deal with such personal and private matters in front of a whole cast and crew.”

“She was just trying her best and did not change from the Chrishell we all know and love.”

The news comes just days after Chrishell slammed co-star Christine Quinn for speaking out about her marriage.

The 38-year-old tweeted: “I just learned Christine is giving press “information” about my divorce. Let me be VERY clear. She knows absolutely nothing about the situation and is obviously desperate to gain attention by doing so.”

Maya addressed Chrishell and Christine Quinn’s ongoing feud.

“I like them both and I get along with both. I thought they could have made amends a few weeks ago, but recent interviews made me think twice,” she shared.

“Right now they’re not on speaking terms and it is what it is,” Maya revealed, “Thankfully I do not feel the need to pick a side and I’d rather avoid drama at this point in my life.”

Maya said that another focal point in the upcoming series would see her “possibly leaving The Oppenheim Group to live full-time with my family in Miami”.

“Right now I am living in Miami and quarantining here due to COVID. I am trying to avoid any travelling unless I have to.”

“It is nice to have this break period to focus on my family. Traveling to LA will happen again eventually, but only for very short time intervals since I have to be back in Miami to take care of my children.”
