Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald has revealed she has suffered a miscarriage.
The 42-year-old, who has been married to Romain Bonnet since 2018, shared the heartbreaking news with her 2.1million Instagram followers.
In an emotional video, the realtor turned reality star explained that she got pregnant while on her honeymoon in Bali, but unfortunately it “didn’t work out.”
She said through tears: “On top of the miscarriage, I also had a septic miscarriage. So, had to go in for surgery for that.”
“I guess the only reason why I’ve been silent for a long time — and the reason why I’m speaking out now — is because I do realize how common this is and how many people go through this.”
Mary, who is mum to a 28-year-old son named Austin, said that although it has been “rough” there’s “still hope” and she will “keep trying” until she has “good news to share.”
She captioned the post: “It’s not always sunshine and butterflies, and that is ok. I wanted to share this in the hopes of letting others know they are not alone.”
“I promised I would be truthful and keep you guys updated. I have been asked some questions, and finally found it within me to address this.”
“We won’t be giving up… and if this message speaks to you in any way or you are feeling down, helpless, alone… please know we are in this together. Hang in there…”
Romain, 29, commented: “🥺 it’s just the beginning of our journey my princess and i promise I will always be here to support you in every step of the way ❤️❤️”
