Sandra Bullock ‘grateful’ for fans’ support – following death of her partner Bryan Randall

Sandra Bullock is said to be “grateful” for her fans’ support, following the death of her partner Bryan Randall.

The photographer, who started dating the actress in 2015, died at the age of 57 on August 5 – following a private three-year battle with ALS.

A source has since told People that the 59-year-old has “seen the incredible outpouring of support toward ALS research since Bryan’s passing”.

The insider continued: “It was very important to her that when she and his family made the initial statement of Bryan’s passing, those who were on this journey with her and Bryan, from the beginning, were recognized — with the Healey Center at Mass General leading the way.”

“She is so grateful to all those who have donated and is happy that out of something so heartbreaking came something so positive for others.”

The news of Bryan’s passing was confirmed by his family in a statement shared with People on August 7.

They said: “It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS.”

“Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.”

“We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours.”

“At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan,” the statement concluded, signed, “His Loving Family.”

ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a rare neurological disease that affects motor neurons.

Sandra started dating the photographer in 2015, after he was hired to take photos at her son Louis’ birthday earlier that year.

They made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the premiere of her film ‘Our Brand Is Crisis’ in October 2015.

The pair kept their relationship out of the public eye but in December 2021, Sandra called Bryan “the love of my life” during an appearance on ‘Red Table Talk’.

She said at the time: “I found the love of my life. We share two beautiful children— three children, [including Bryan’s] older daughter. It’s the best thing ever.”

“I don’t wanna say do it like I do it, but I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother. I don’t need to be told to be ever present in the hardest of times. I don’t need to be told to weather a storm with a good man.”

Sandra was previously married to Jesse James from 2005 until 2010.

The actress recently took a step back from Hollywood life to spend some time with her two adopted children – Louis, 13, and Laila, 11.
