Reese Witherspoon is set to be called to testify in an assault trial against her ex-husband, Ryan Phillipe.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, Reese is listed as a witness to be called forward to give evidence for the prosecution.
Phillipe’s ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt alleges that in July 2017 he hit, punched and kicked her down a staircase.
The model dated Phillipe for four months before the alleged incident.
He denies all the claims against him.
Philippe has since been trying to block Witherspoon from testifying at the trial claiming that their previous relationship is irrelevant to the upcoming trial, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
He is also requesting that information from other past-relationships be excluded from evidence.
Reese and Ryan were married from 1999 to 2007, after meeting at her 21st birthday party. They have two teenage children together.
The trial is set to begin on October 15th.
