Priscilla Presley has announced that she’s left the Church of Scientology after 40 years.

The actress, who reportedly joined the church back in 1977 after the death of her famous husband Elvis.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Priscilla decided to leave the church as she found it difficult to stay after her daughter Lisa Marie left in 2014.

“I’ve had enough. I’m done,” she told the newspaper.

“Lisa Marie leaving made it hard for Priscilla. They are very close as a family and leaving the church has been a family decision,” a source said.

The 72-year-old is the latest celebrity to leave the church, joining actress Katie Holmes and Leah Remini, who recently won an Emmy for her docuseries called Scientology and the Aftermath.

It’s believed that the COS ban all members from speaking to people who have deflected, as they are labelled as a “suppressive person”.

Meanwhile, the Church of Scientology still has many famous members, including Tom Cruise, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston, and The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss.
