Pete Davidson ‘set to make his SNL hosting debut’ – one year after leaving the show

Pete Davidson is reportedly returning to host Saturday Night Live.

The comedian recorded his final episode of the sketch comedy show last May, after eight years on the programme.

The Staten Island native was just 20-years-old when he joined SNL as a featured player in 2014, making him one of the youngest cast members in the programme’s 47 seasons on air.

Pete was relatively unknown when he joined SNL, but has since made a name for himself in the world of stand-up comedy.

In recent years, the 29-year-old has also starred in a number of feature films, including a semi-autobiographical movie called The King of Staten Island.

Page Six have reported that Pete will return to the comedy sketch show, but this time to make his hosting debut on May 6.

A source told the publication: “He’s very excited to go back.[Leaving the show] has been a change of pace for him, but in a good way.”

During his SNL run, Pete famously got engaged to pop singer Ariana Grande following a whirlwind romance, but the pair split after less than a year together.

The funny man then had a high-profile relationship with Kim Kardashian, who he started dating after she hosted Saturday Night Live in October 2021.

The reality star filed for divorce from her rapper husband Kanye West eight months prior.

The couple recently attended the 2022 Met Gala together, but called time on their nine-month romance last August.
