It has been reported that Kate and a female friend stayed at both Ballymaloe House and the nearby Ballyshane Coastal Retreats.

The private 20-acre coastal property available to rent is nothing short of luxurious for the LA star.

Rachel charged €865 for a two-and-a-half day cookery course in Ballymaloe called “Cooking for Family and Friends” between Wednesday and Friday this week.

Irish influencer James Kavanagh also attended the Ballymaloe Cookery School in 2019 and still stays in touch with the famous chef.

Speaking to the Irish Independent about his relationship with Rachel, he said: “I talk to Rachel all the time and JR, the pastry chef from Ballymaloe House is a good friend now. Whenever he comes up to Dublin we meet up, and he came to my birthday.”

Describing the course, he said: “There was a gang of us that would go swimming every morning. I had never really sea swam before Ballymaloe.”

“I always was groggy in the mornings and when we used to go sea swimming at 7am it was like having three espressos.”

“It’s something I’ve carried in now to my life. The energy it gives you is just so stunning.”

Kate Winslet rose to international fame after she played Rose in the 1997 film Titanic opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.

The aforementioned film has a surprising link to Cork where Kate is currently staying.

Cobh, a harbour town in Cork which is just half an hour’s drive from Ballyshane, was the last port visited by the Titanic on April 11, 1912, three days before it famously struck the iceberg.
