Olivia Wilde has responded to the backlash over a comment she made about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s budding relationship.
The NFL star and the singer were first romantically linked last month and since then, they have dominated headlines.
Earlier this month, actress Olivia reposted a tweet to her Instagram Stories that read: “I wish Taylor Swift was in love with a climate scientist.”

The original post, made by Katja Herbers, continued: “Taylor would join her scientist at an end fossil fuels rally and the world would be saved.”
While the Don’t Worry Darling director, 39, did not add her own commentary about Taylor and Travis’ relationship, fans were not impressed that she reshared the post.
One X user wrote: “I get it but like also… who is Olivia Wilde to say s**t. I don’t remember Harry Styles restoring the ozone when they were dating.”
Another user chimed in and said: “She wasn’t worried about climate change when she was flying across the country to go chase Harry lmao.”

According to The MailOnline, Olivia addressed the criticism while speaking to a reporter on Sunday.
She said did not intend to hurt anyone’s feelings and had only reposted the tweet to highlight the how much attention celebrities personal lives gain.
“I meant no harm. It’s obviously a comment on how much attention gets paid to stupid things,” Olivia explained.
Olivia and popstar Harry Styles dated from January 2021 until November 2022, after meeting on the set of her film Don’t Worry Darling in 2020.
According to Page Six, the exes have “no bad blood” between them.
“Harry didn’t dump Olivia, or vice versa. This is the longest relationship Harry’s ever had, so clearly, they have a special bond,” an insider told the outlet.
