New report claims Justin Bieber ‘hasn’t spoken to Scooter Braun in MONTHS’

A new report has claimed Justin Bieber hasn’t spoken to his longtime manager Scooter Braun in months.

According to PEOPLE, the Canadian singer is working on music without Scooter and while he is “still managed” by him, the pair haven’t spoken in nearly a year.

A source told the publication: “Justin’s been working on his new record for the last six months. Scooter and SB Projects have not set up one session or done one thing for this [new] record. The relationship with Scooter has run its course.”

Justin was signed by Scooter when he was just 13-years-old, after the music manager discovered him on YouTube.

In a 2012 interview with Complex, Scooter opened up about managing the singer, saying: “We have a very different bond. The common misconception — because I’m 13 years older than him — is that it’s a little brother.”

“It’s more like an uncle or a dad. I kind of realised it being on the road with Justin’s mom. She’s not a disciplinarian, and he needed that person in his life.”

It comes after reports Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato parted ways with Scooter.

Scooter and Justin

Scooter made headlines back in 2020 when he made the decision to sell Taylor Swift’s masters to a private equity company.

The music mogul obtained control of the singer’s masters when his company Ithaca Holdings acquired Big Machine Label Group in June 2019.

In November 2020, Variety reported that Scooter had sold the master rights of Taylor’s first six albums for over $300 million.

Taylor has since re-recorded four of her six albums; Fearless, Red, Speak Now and 1989 and labelled them “(Taylor’s Version)”, in an attempt to regain control of her mastery.
