Matthew Perry’s cause of death is yet to be determined, as his autopsy results returned inconclusive.

The actor, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in Friends, was found dead at his LA home on October 28 after an apparent drowning at the age of 54.

On Sunday, the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE that an autopsy had been completed.

However, the results are pending a toxicology report, which reportedly can take weeks to come through.

An online record listed the status of Matthew’s cause of death as “deferred” since it’s “pending additional investigation.”

PEOPLE has also confirmed that the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division is handling Perry’s death investigation, and “foul play is not suspected at this time.”

TMZ previously reported that although first responders didn’t find any illicit drugs at the scene, they found numerous prescription drugs.

Police told the publication that Matthew was on anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and COPD medication.

The Canadian actor found fame in the 1990s when sitcom Friends – which he starred in alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer, became an international hit.

Friends ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.
