The mum-of-one usually uses her Insta stories to share snaps of baby True and messages about love and heart break, but today she schooled her 93 million followers on plastic use.
Sustainability has emerged as a huge trend in 2019, with sustainable influencers climbing the trend ranks on social media as Ireland becomes the second country in the world to declare a climate emergency.
Khloe uploaded an educational key that identifies how long it takes for certain plastics to break down in our environment.
It highlights how plastic bottles and styrofoam take 450 years to degrade, while beverage can rings take 400.
Plastic bags take 10-20 years to break down, while the soles of rubber boots can take up to 80.
Khloe also regrammed a poignant statement, which reads: “There is no planet B.”
The slogan is common among environmental activists who work to turn back climate change.
Khloe’s big sister Kourtney has previously lobbied with the Environmental Working Group, to call for better protections in the cosmetics industry for human health and the environment.
Khloe, along with sister Kim Kardashian, recently opened a UCLA health center – named after their late father Robert.
