Justin Hartley’s friends ‘glad’ that Chrishell Stause ‘is no longer in his life’

Justin Hartley’s friends are reportedly “glad” that he ended his marriage to Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause.

Chrishell and Justin tied the knot in October 2017, before Justin filed for divorce in November last year – with the shock split playing out in front of the cameras in the new season of the hit Netflix show.

“Justin’s friends are glad that Chrishell is no longer in his life and that he can move on,” a source told Us Weekly.

“He is doing well right now, and while it’s been disappointing that he is being dragged into story lines on reality TV, he knew that he should expect this.”

The insider added: “Justin is a great, stand-up guy, and he wants to move on with his life in a classy way.”

“He’s irritated that she’s airing their private information publicly and knows there is more to the story than is being told,” a separate insider revealed.

“His close friends and family know what really happened, as does Chrishell, so ultimately it’s her choice of what is put out there.”

The 43-year-old has faced backlash over how he allegedly “blindsided” Chrishell by brutally texting her that he had filed for divorce.

On Tuesday, Justin’s ex-wife Lindsay Korman-Hartley jumped to his defence – sharing a message of support for her “dear friend” on Instagram.

“In a day when social media should be used for positivity … an inspiration towards movement in an honest and deserving way, I’d like to join, by highlighting my appreciation for my family,” the actress wrote.

“Today, I appreciate my ex-husband Justin for not only being [an] exemplification of a solid man but for being my dear friend and devoted father to our daughter,” she continued.

“Simply put; for being family. We derive our own opinion of people by experiencing life and time together, and we do our best to hold dear the ones that maintain consistent kindness, love and generosity.”

“No matter what conflicts Justin and I had in the past, I appreciate what we have today and I am thankful for the family we have built.”

The former couple’s 16-year-old daughter Isabella also showed her support for her father by resharing the post to her Instagram story.

During a camera confessional on Selling Sunset, Chrishell opened up about the “shock” of her divorce.

“I’m just kind of in shock with it all. I’m trying to keep it together, but it’s just a lot all at once ’cause everybody in the whole world knows like at the same time that I knew.”

“I don’t think anyone ever gets married thinking that they’ll get a divorce. I’m definitely a hopeless romantic, and I feel stupid even saying that out loud.”

“When I think of marriage, I think of: you work on things with people if they’re not perfect — no one is. You work on it. You talk about it.”

“You don’t go out looking for greener grass; sometimes you have to water the grass that you have,” she continued.

“And that’s what marriage is. Sometimes it can be hard. I don’t think it should be more hard than easy, at all, but that’s why I’m so confused, because I didn’t feel like that balance was off. I just feel stupid.”

In June, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Justin was dating his former co-star Sofia Pernas – revealing that the pair had “been dating for several weeks” and were “spending a lot of time at his house.”

Their romance raised a lot of eyebrows, as Justin met Sofia on the set of The Young And The Restless in 2015 while he was dating Chrishell – who also worked on the show.
