Jon Bon Jovi defends his son’s engagement to Millie Bobby Brown

Jon Bon Jovi has defended his son Jake’s engagement to Millie Bobby Brown.

The Stranger Things star, 19, has been dating Jon’s 20-year-old son since 2021.

Last month, the couple shocked fans by announcing their engagement, which sparked criticism online due to their young ages.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM, Jon defended Jake and Millie’s plans to tie the knot.

He said: “I don’t know if age matters. You know, if you find the right partner and you grow together. I think that would be my advice really, growing together is wise.”

“So I think that all of my kids have found the people that they think they can grow together with, and we like them all.”

Millie announced her engagement to Jake via Instagram last month.

Sharing a photo of them on the beach after he proposed, the actress quoted Taylor Swift’s hit song Lover by writing: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all 🤍”

Millie and Jake went Instagram official with their romance in November 2021, after sparking romance rumours earlier that year.

The couple made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2022 BAFTA Awards last March.

Prior to her romance with Jake, Millie dated social media star Jacob Sartorius.

The former couple announced their split in July 2018.
