Francia Raisa addresses rumour she was ‘forced’ to donate kidney to Selena Gomez

Francia Raisa has addressed the rumour that she was “forced” to donate her kidney to Selena Gomez.

The actress famously donated a kidney to Selena back in 2017, when the singer needed a transplant due to complications from her Lupus disease.

Despite their strong bond, the pals have since grown apart and sparked rumours of a feud between them in recent years.

Fans have since run wild, speculating that Francia hadn’t offered to donate her kidney.

The 35-year-old has since addressed the rumour.

Speaking during her appearance on the Good Guys podcast, the How I Met Your Father actor said: “I’ve said this before, but that was a time where I just felt it in my heart. No one forced me to do anything.”

“It came out of the genuine kindness of my heart, and I’ve been super blessed ever since.”

Speaking of a rumoured feud between her and Selena, Francia bluntly said, “There’s no beef.”

Rumours of a feud between the pair started circulating last year when Selena told Rolling Stone that her “only friend in the industry” is Taylor Swift.

At the time, Francia posted a since-deleted comment on Instagram that read, “Interesting,” and subsequently unfollowed Selena.

A TikTok user later shared a video breaking down the drama between them, including the fact that Francia no longer follows Selena.

Selena commented on the video: “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”

Adding fuel to the fire, fans also pointed out that Francia was not mentioned in Selena’s Apple TV+ documentary ‘My Mind and Me’, which was released last year.

The pair became close friends after they first met in 2007, when Disney and Freeform (formerly ABC) had the stars visit a children’s hospital.
