Donald Trump thanks Kanye West for supporting him on Jimmy Kimmel Live

The rapper addressed his controversial relationship with the President

Donald Trump has thanked Kanye West for supporting him, following his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The 41-year-old recently addressed his relationship with the controversial US President in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

After the interview aired, Trump took to Twitter to praise Kanye for telling “the TRUTH”.

He tweeted: “Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH. One new and great FACT – African American unemployment is the lowest ever recorded in the history of our Country.”

“So honored by this. Thank you Kanye for your support. It is making a big difference!” he added.

While Kanye showed his support for Trump, he had no words to defend him when Jimmy brought up the fact that immigrant families are being torn apart at the border.

Jimmy said, “There are literally families being torn apart as a result of what this president is doing, and I think that we cannot forget that.”

“Whether we like his personality or not, his actions are really what matter. You so famously and so powerfully said ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people’. It makes me wonder, what makes you think that Donald Trump does, or any people at all?”

Kanye fell silent, before Jimmy quickly cut to a commercial break. Check out his full interview below:
