David Spade speaks out in the wake of Kate Spade’s tragic death

David Spade has broken his silence following Kate Spade’s death.

His late sister-in-law was found dead in her Manhattan apartment. Law enforcement confirmed to E! that she died from apparent suicide by hanging in her bedroom.

He took to Instagram to try to express his grief captioning a photo with her, “Fuzzy picture but i love it. Kate and I during Christmas family photos. We had so much fun that day. She was so sharp and quick on her feet. She could make me laugh so hard. I still cant believe it. Its a rough world out there people, try to hang on.”

The designer has been remembered fondly by celebrities the world over and has caused many people to point out that mental health difficulties don’t discriminate based on wealth or privilege.

David also remembered her on Twitter sharing a photo of her smiling at a book signing the actor was doing.

“Katy at my book signing. I love this pic of her. So pretty. I dont think everyone knew how f–ing funny she was… Its a rough world out there people. Try to hang on,” he tweeted.

Kate was 55years-old and leaves behind husband Andrew and daughter Francis Beatrix.
