Comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked on stage in Los Angeles.
The 48-year-old was performing at the Hollywood Bowl theatre on Tuesday night as part of the Netflix Is A Joke festival when a man ran onto the stage and tackled him.
A spokesperson for the venue said: “The incident that occurred at the Hollywood Bowl on May 3 2022 is an active investigation and we are unable to comment further at this time.”

After the attack, fellow comedian Jimmy Carr took to Twitter to share a selfie taken with Dave, describing the incident as “crazy”.
He tweeted: “The Hollywood Bowl show with the legendary Dave Chappelle was crazy. Just happy everyone’s ok.”
It comes after Dave came under fire for comments made about the LGBT+ community in his hour-long special Netflix, including “gender is a fact”.
