Chris Pratt has officially filed for divorce from Anna Faris.
According to documents obtained by E! News, the Jurassic World star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
TMZ has also reported that Anna’s response, which was filed simultaneously, also cited irreconcilable difference.
The former couple are seeking joint custody of their 5-year-old son, Jack, and both Anna and Chris have reserved the right to obtain spousal support.
A source told E! News that Chris and Anna are “super amicable”, and that they’re “trying to do what’s best for Jack.”
Back in August, the couple shocked fans by announced their separation in a joint statement.
“We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” the statement read.
“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
Many couldn’t believe that the pair had decided to split, but a source told E! News that, “Chris changed so much. His fame changed their dynamic publicly and in private.”
The source continued, “Anna feels like she lost her voice throughout their marriage, like she lost her sense of self.”
As well as that, the couple reportedly had “different parenting styles” – which caused a friction in their relationship.
Since their split, Anna has started dating cinematographer Michael Barrett.
