Caitlyn Jenner shares brutal response to OJ Simpson’s death

Caitlyn Jenner has shared a brutal response to the death of OJ Simpson.

The former NFL star died on April 10th, aged 76.

Caitlyn was a staunch critic of Simpson, and believed he was responsible for the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994.

After the news of his death broke on Thursday, Caitlyn simply tweeted: “Good riddance #OJSimpson.”

OJ was accused of violently killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman back in 1994.

In what was dubbed “the trial of the century”, the former NFL star was acquitted of their murders in October 1995.

However, he was later deemed liable for their deaths in 1997 in a civil case brought by Nicole and Ron’s families.

During the 1995 trial, OJ was famously represented by Robert Kardashian Snr, the late father of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.

His role on OJ’s legal team was hugely controversial, as Nicole was the best friend of Robert’s ex-wife Kris Jenner.

During the trial, Caitlyn was married to Kris Jenner and the pair often attended the court hearings to support Nicole’s family.

In her 2017 memoir The Secrets of My Life, Caitlyn branded Simpson “the most narcissistic, egocentric, neediest a– in the world of sports I had ever seen.”

She also said she believed he “got away with two savage murders”.

During her appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, the reality star also recalled seeing Nicole Brown Simpson just two days before she was murdered.

She said: “I saw Nicole two days before she was murdered. It was Kris’ best friend, we were right in the middle of it. It was a bad time for everybody, very difficult.”

”We knew what happened and this trial was a joke and when the verdict came down Kris just turned around to me and goes: ‘We should have listened to Nicole from the beginning, she was right.’”

The transgender star also claimed the late Robert Kardashian must have known whether OJ was guilty of killing Nicole or not, when he represented him on his defense team.

The 70-year-old also recalled: “That night the verdict came in Kourtney and Kimberly were in school and obviously they loved their father – and they should – and they’d been following this for a year and a half.”

“And when they walked in the door, I think it was Kourtney who said: ‘Well I told you he didn’t do it.’”

“And I just said to the girls: ‘Just because he got a not guilty didn’t mean he didn’t do it and I don’t want his name ever mentioned in this house again.’”

When asked if she had liked OJ previously, Caitlyn said: “No. Too big an ego for me. We went on some vacations together with OJ and Nicole and the kids. I liked Nicole and she sure didn’t deserve what she got.”

The trial has been the subject of several documentaries and TV shows, the most well-known being FX’s The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story in 2016.

The ensemble cast included Cuba Gooding Jr. as OJ, and David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian.

In 2008, OJ was jailed for his role in the armed robbery and kidnapping of two sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas.

He was released from prison in 2017, after serving nine years behind bars.
