Brad Pitt brands Angelina Jolie a ‘hypocrite’ for refusing to sign NDA

Brad Pitt has branded Angelina Jolie a “hypocrite” for refusing to sign an NDA.

The actor’s lawyers have refuted Angelina’s claims that he wanted to use an NDA in the sale of their French vineyard to “control” her.

The 60-year-old’s legal team also noted that the actress regularly banned her staff from discussing her private affairs by handing them similar contracts.

In 2008, the former Hollywood couple bought a substantial interest in Chateau Miraval SA, a French company comprising a home and vineyard in the south of France.

The 60-year-old actor is now attempting to reverse Angelina’s sale of her stake in the winery to Russian billionaire, Yuri Shefler.

In court documents seen by the DailyMail, revealed that the actress refused to sell her part of the vineyard to her former husband for $ 54 million because of a standard non-disparagement clause in his proposed contract.

Angelina claims that it was an “unconscionable” attempt by her ex to “control her” after their split.

However, court documents state: “If Jolie conditioned her continued employment of an individual on that individual’s agreement to an NDA covering what they witnessed in her home—including her treatment of her children and Pitt—that would be highly probative of whether she truly believed the provision requested by Pitt was an ‘unconscionable gag order.”

“The same is true with respect to any NDA between Jolie and any third party with whom she is in a relationship or who has assisted with the care of the couple’s children.”

“To the extent that Jolie requested this third party’s silence about her family or home life, particularly in a circumstance where there was no business justification, it would speak volumes about whether Jolie actually viewed Pitt’s requested NDA, which was linked to the Miraval business, as the deal-ender she subsequently alleged it to be.”

According to past legal documents, the sale launched a “hostile” takeover of the wine business that the Brad had “carefully built”, and forced him into a partnership with “a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions.”

Brad’s lawyers stated that under his stewardship, the business boomed into a “multimillion-dollar international success story”, though Angelina had “contributed nothing” to it.

According to the lawsuit, Angelina sold her stake to a Luxembourg-based spirits manufacturer controlled by Mr. Shefler, without Brad knowing.

Documents obtained by the PA news agency said at the time: “Through the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict harm on Pitt.
