Ashton Kutcher testifies against suspected serial killer

The alleged serial killer has been accused of murdering a woman Ashton once dated

Ashton Kutcher has testified against Michael Gargiulo, a suspected serial killer who has been accused of murdering two women – including the actor’s ex-girlfriend Ashley Ellerin.

In court on Wednesday, Ashton revealed that he made plans to have dinner and drinks with Ashley on February 21st, 2001.

The actor had arranged to pick her up at her apartment, and the last time they spoke was on the phone at 8:24 pm that night.

Sadly, it’s believed Ashley was killed shortly after she was on the phone with Ashton.

The alleged victim, who was just 22 at the time, was reportedly stabbed 47 times by Michael Gargiulo, right after she got out of the shower at her apartment.

According to Ashton’s testimony, he arrived at Ashley’s home at around 10:45 pm, but when he rang the doorbell – there was no answer.

The actor noted that all the lights were on, but assumed that Ashley had just “bailed” on their date, so he left to go to his friend’s house.

But before he left, Ashton said he looked through the front window and saw what he thought was “red wine” spilled on the carpet.

He explained: “But that wasn’t alarming because I went to her house party [days before] and it was like a college party. I didn’t think much about it.”

The next day, Ashton was approached by police, and told that Ashley had been found dead by her roommate.

The 41-year-old admitted that he was “freaking out” at the time, as he thought that the police would view him as a suspect, but they reassured him that he was in the clear.

The alleged suspect, who is known as the “Hollywood Ripper”, is on trial for the suspected murder of Ashley, and 32-year-old Maria Bruno, who was stabbed to death back in 2005.

Michael Gargiulo is also facing a murder charge in Illinois, for the stabbing death of 18-year-old Tricia Pacaccio, which allegedly took place back in 1993.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Michael, who has pled not guilty.
