Irish celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons reveals how he achieved Camila Cabello’s Met Gala look

Irish celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons has revealed how he achieved Camila Cabello’s Met Gala look.

The Havana singer stepped out at the star-studded charity ball on Monday in a stunning white two-piece gown by Prabal Gurung, which featured multicolour flower decals and multiple cutouts.

The 25-year-old paired her look with some incredible earrings, white heels, and pretty flowers in her hair.

Dublin native Andrew Fitzsimons has since revealed he achieved Camila’s fab hairdo by using products from his new haircare brand.

The accessibly priced, salon-performance collection features 26 care and styling products, retailing from €11.99 – €16.99.

Andrew said: “The very first step was to dampen Camila’s hair, then sprayed Andrew Fitzsimons AF1 10-in1 Leave In Conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends of her hair.”

“After priming and prepping, I spritzed the Andrew Fitzsimons Model Volume Wave Spray throughout and then diffused her locks to help accentuate her natural waves.”

He continued: “Then I sprayed one of my favorite products, the Andrew Fitzsimons Après Sexe Texture Spray, to achieve loose, touchable texture, giving it a bit of extra hold for an up-do.”

“I gathered the hair with my fingers and pulled and secured it into a high but loose ponytail, spraying a few more spritz of the Andrew Fitzsimons Après Sexe Texture Spray to further help give it that effortless tousled look.”

“I then twisted the pieces of hair into a messy top knot, securing it with pins, maintaining a loose look. I pulled a few loose strands out to help frame her face, to keep the look soft.”

“When the dress arrived at her room, I saw the beautiful floral components and knew I wanted to work them into her hair in some capacity. I asked Prabel if he had additional flowers I could add to the bun.

“I tucked the flowers tactfully around the bun, versus over the bun as I was inspired by how the flowers mimicked a “peek-a-boo” effect on the dress itself.”

“I then set the look with Andrew Fitzsimons Hard Strong Hold Hairspray, and finished off with the Andrew Fitzsimons Prism Shine Invisible Shine Spray for a pop of red carpet shine,” the hairstylist added.
