It’s officially Valentine’s weekend.
Couples will be enjoying romantic getaways, proposals will be made and lots of single folk will be found in the pub, but we at Goss.ie are celebrating the holiday – showbiz style.
We’ve listed our favourite Irish celeb couples who will be enjoying each other’s company this Valentine’s.
1. Johnny McDaid and Courteney Cox
What’s not to love about Johnny McDaid and Courteney Cox?
The engaged pair were introduced by mutual friend Ed Sheeran in late 2013 and have been at each other’s side ever since.
The Snow Patrol rocker and Friends star announced their engagement last June with Johnny proving to be a traditional man at heart by asking Courteney’s mum for permission to marry the Hollywood beauty.
Johnny and Courteney are planning an Irish wedding in Mayo later this year and we at Goss.ie think this is a pair that will last.
 2. Una and Ben Foden
The Saturday’s Una Healy and Ben Foden have proven to be a match made in heaven since they began dating in 2008 and tied the knot four years later.
The handsome pair have since welcomed daughter Aoife Belle to the world following the nuptials, with Una giving birth to baby Tadhg John just two weeks ago.
The Tipperary beauty is so in love with her rugby star hubbie that she previously admitted she can’t watch him play for fear he will hurt himself.
After almost eight years together, Una and Ben clearly know how to keep the spark in their relationship alive and are sure to have a Valentine’s Day that would make the most cynical of us swoon.
3. Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick
Ireland AM star Alan Hughes and his husband Karl Broderick know the phrase Love is a Battlefield all too well, having faced many hardships during their years together since meeting on O’Connell bridge two decades ago.
In the early days of their romance, Alan has admitted Karl’s mother was not taken by the TV3 star and “said mean things” to him while their relationship was put through the ringer more recently with the passing of Karl’s father and Alan’s sister falling ill.
However, the pair have survived the hurdles life has thrown at them and with over 21 years under their belt, Goss.ie is sure this is a pair who will be together forever.
4. Eoghan McDermott and Jo Archbold
The Voice star Eoghan McDermott and model girlfriend Jo Archbold are one of the more private couples on our list, having initially denied they were even dating each other.
However, the young couple have since becoming more comfortable sharing their relationship with the world, with Jo sharing snaps of the pairs romantic trip to Paris in January.
Eoghan and Jo met through mutual friends and have been dating now for eight months, and if a trip to the city of love is anything to go by, we think this couple is one to watch in the future.
5. Bono and Ali Hewson
Bono and Ali Hewson clearly know how to make a relationship work with 32 years of marriage under their belt, a figure almost completely unheard of in the world of showbiz romances.
The U2 frontman and his blushing bride have four children together with Bono previously admitting Ali still keeps him on his toes.
She’s a very independent, smart kind of girl, who, I think, sees me as a figure of amusement. Most of the time, I enjoy her company,” he told The Sun.
The Dublin rocker has since done his best to help other couples find what he and Ali have, with Goss.ie previously revealing the couple helped a young man give his girlfriend the proposal of a lifetime on Killiney Hill.
6. Roz Purcell and Bressie
After denying their romance for months, the good-looking duo finally admitted to being an item in 2013.
Since the suspense of are they or aren’t they, the stunning pair have become Ireland’s answer to action man and Barbie. Sharing a love of sport, the couple are constantly training for triathlons, Ironman and woman competitions.
The active pair put most couple’s fitness to shame especially with model Roz launching her health food blog Natural Born Feeder however there’s no denying Brozzie are one hot couple.
7. Jack Reynor and Madeline Mulqueen
When up and coming actor Jack Reynor met Limerick model Madeline Mulqueen some could liken their romance to that of a Hollywood movie.
After being together for a whirlwind few months Jack asked the Distinct Management model to join him while he filmed for blockbuster Transformers 4.
Since then the engaged couple have gone strength to strength and are planning to marry this year. This is one couple we’re completely “trans”fixed on.
8. Nicola Hughes and Alex Mytton
A match made in reality television heaven – Exiles star and model Nicola Hughes caught the eye of Made in Chelsea lothario Alex Mytton in August and the two have been inseparable ever since.
Working on a long distance for over 6 months, it looks like the pair have caught the love bug and now the sexy duo have decided to take the plunge and live together.
We at Goss HQ can’t wait for their first reality appearance in Made in Chelsea, fingers crossed Binky makes an entrance!
9. Steve Garrigan and Diana Bucini
The newest couple on our list, Steve Garrigan – frontman for Kodaline and former RTE starlet Diana Bucini are so new that we don’t even have a pic of them yet.
The stunning couple only recently confirmed rumours that the two were going out.
After Diana moved to London, it looks like things are going strong for the young couple who are constantly sharing sweet tweets online – all we can say is we have “high hopes” for them.
10. Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Mara Lane
Showing us all what a Hollywood couple are suppose to look like – is our favourite A-list actor  Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his actress fiancée Mara Lane.
After bringing the stunning brunette home, Mara admitted she’s completely “in love” with Ireland and could definitely see herself moving to the Emerald Isle.
We at Goss.ie could totally see the Hawaiian native welcoming Jonathan home with a cup of tea and digestive biscuit in hand.
11. Amy Huberman and Brian O’Driscoll
We can’t do a list of Ireland’s top celeb couples without mentioning these two.
While the pair won’t actually get to spend Valentine’s Day together (Amy is in LA for pilot season) we have to list them as one of the best Irish star couples.
He’s considered a rugby legend and she’s about to take over Hollywood, after two babies and five years of marriage these two seem more loved-up than ever.
12. Chris O’Dowd and Dawn O’Porter
Chris and Dawn became parents for the first time just a few weeks ago, and we love their relationship.
From Dawn adding an ‘O’ to her surname to announcing their baby news through an ice-bucket challenge these two have to be the funniest couple out there.
But most importantly they are mad about each other. Chris recently said in an interview that marrying Dawn was his “biggest achievement” to date. (Awh)
13. Ronan Keating and Storm Uechtritz
This pair are completely in love and not afraid to show it.
Ronan has hinted several times this year that he’s already planning to pop the question and Australian TV producer Storm seems very likely to say yes.
This year they went to the next level in their relationship and adopted a puppy.
Their pug Aussie is now referred to as their “baby”. We wonder if they will be having babies of their own soon!
14. Yvonne Keating and John Conroy
Speaking of the Keating’s…Ronan’s ex Yvonne is also in a very happy relationship with camera man John Conroy.
The couple have been fairly private about their romance but just last week Broadchurch Cinematographer John shared this sweet picture of the couple saying Yvonne was “the best girlfriend in the world.”
