Ryan Tubridy has described moving to RTE Radio One as “one of his highlights of the year”.
The broadcaster, who moved from his morning slot on 2fm to a one hour show on RTE Radio One in September, insisted he is no longer “wrecked” and has more time to relax.
“It’s made a huge impact having an extra hour in my day and I’ve more time to do stuff,” he said.

“The hour-long Radio One show gives me more time to focus on The Late Late Show as well, so I’m not as wrecked. So it’s all working a treat at the minute.”
Although the host enjoyed presenting on 2fm – he admitted was ready for the move.
“It was one of the great decisions that was made for me for recent times. 2FM was [a natural fit for me] but in some ways it had run its course,” he told the Mirror.
“When I was there I had a ball but the timing was just right.I Â think evolution is good in a career – to be always moving and thinking.”
