Dublin’s Stella Theatre in Rathmines set the scene this week for the a special preview screening of the new movie The Aftermath.
Keira Knightley and Alexander Skarsgard lead a stellar cast in the film, which also includes Irish actor Fionn O’ Shea.
Fionn joined guests for a special pre drinks reception at the Stella on the night, and well-known faces like Cathy O’ Connor, Judy Wong, and Triona McCarthy were also spotted on the red carpet.
The film, which is set in 1946, follows Rachael Morgan as she arrives in the ruins of Hamburg to be reunited with her husband, Lewis, who is a British colonel charged with rebuilding the shattered city.
As they set off for their new home, Rachael is stunned to discover that Lewis has made an unexpected decision: They will be sharing the grand house with its previous owners, a German widower and his troubled daughter.
In this charged atmosphere, enmity and grief give way to passion and betrayal.
