The first pictures of Michael Fassbender starring as Macbeth have surfaced and he looks like the perfect King.
The Irish actor stars alongside Marion Cotillard in the Shakespeare adaptation, in the lead role as Macbeth himself.
The images show a poignant moment between the leading actors, with Michael looking like the perfect man to overthrow a King.

Elements of war and politics wade through the film but the relationship between the defiant Lady Macbeth and her ambitious husband is the defying theme that prevails.
Macbeth also features Irish actor Jack Reynor who gushed about working with the Kerryman on the Shakespearean drama.
“It was just really cool to collaborate with him on that film. It’s an incredible cast,” he said.

The 24-year-old admitted that the film adaptation is a difficult movie to make since the play is so iconic.
Macbeth will feature in Cannes next month and hit cinemas later this year.
