It has been revealed that Simon Cowell is planning a grand farewell for Niall Horan and his One Direction bandmates this weekend.
Performing on this year’s X Factor finale, the Mullingar man and his group will reportedly receive a goodbye tribute featuring some of the entertainment industries top stars.
According to the Sun, Mariah Carey, James Corden and Will Ferrell have all recorded goodbye messages for the group as they prepare to go on hiatus next year.

Sources have speculated that Simon reckons the group’s break could be more permanent than they are willing to admit.
“Simon knows the boys’ performance this weekend could be one of their last ones ever and wants them to go out in style,” a source told the paper.
“X Factor is where it all started for them in the first place so it’s the perfect place to do a proper farewell.”

Niall will be spending Christmas at home in Mullingar this year after admitting he hasn’t had a chance to return to his hometown in quite a while.
The pop star is planning to do the 12 pubs of Christmas this year with his mates.
