More successful for the famous Gleeson family as Brian Gleeson stars in new flick Darkness On The Edge Of Town.
It comes soon after Brian began sell out performances with brother Domnhall and dad Brendan in The Walworth Farce, Enda Walsh’s comedy currently playing at The Olympia Theatre.
The new film makes it US premiere this month in both the Slamdance Film Festival and the San Francisco Independent Film Festival.

Brian stars opposite Emma Eliza Regan in the film directed by Patrick Ryan with the movie shot entirely in Co. Kerry.
It tells the story of troubled teenage sharpshooter who strives to avenge the death of her estranged sister, unaware of the fact that the killer is her best and only friend.
Darkness on the Edge of Town marks the first independently funded Irish feature to be programmed in the Slamdance Film Festival’s two decade history, and will be one of only two European features playing in competition.

With the new film premiering, Brian looks set for a stellar acting career along with brother Domnhall who stars in the upcoming Star Wars blockbuster due for release in December.
Brian also starred in Irish film Standby earlier this year which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
