Marissa Carter reveals future plans for Cocoa Brown after returning to the helm of tanning brand

Marissa Carter has revealed her future plans for Cocoa Brown, after returning to the helm of her award-winning tanning brand.

The beauty entrepreneur launched Cocoa Brown alongside beauty distributor Sundrelle back in 2012 with the world’s first ever 1 hour tan.

Since then, the brand has grown to include over 20 products, and successfully launched in the US after being featured on the Instagram feeds of Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian.

Despite being the founder and face of the brand, Marissa cast doubt over her future with Cocoa Brown back in 2021 in a series of emotional videos on Instagram.

But earlier this year, the mother-of-two confirmed she was back at the helm of the business in a triumphant social media post, promising to re-align the company’s vision and strategy.

Marking 10 years of Cocoa Brown on July 19th, Marissa hosted a intimate brunch celebrating female empowerment and entrepreneurship.

The event was held in PINK restaurant on Dublin’s South Wiliam Street, with an on-brand Business Barbie theme.

Speaking at the event, Marissa said: “I am incredibly grateful for the past ten years, during which we have faced numerous challenges and celebrated remarkable achievements.”

“This event is not just about celebrating our success; it’s about celebrating the success of all the incredible women who have been a part of this journey.

“Behind the scenes, my team and I have busy working on bringing you more of what you love, and I’m thrilled to say we have a plethora of new products ready to make their debut over the next few months.”
