Louis Walsh is reported to return as an X Factor judge for the 13th season.
Only 12 months since BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw took his seat at the judging panel, the Mayo man has allegedly held “protacted informal talks” with Simon Cowell about a €1million deal.
According to the Mirror, it’s believed the pair are keen on the move and Simon has provisionally offered Louis the role – although nothing has officially been signed.

“Simon and Louis work really well together. They’ve had a couple of phone conversations and it’s looking as if a deal will be done,” a source told the paper.
The reports come as the 63-year-old revealed a test had shown he has mild hearing loss.
“I noticed my hearing going when I was doing the show last time,” he said.
“It was scary as I thought I was losing my mind but the test showed I had mild hearing loss and that I’ve no need for a hearing aid yet.”
